Freaky Shoulders of History

Apparently ridiculous shoulderpuffery wasn’t just limited to the 80s. This, however strikes me as a more stylized variant on the linebacker silhouette reigning in the Age of Regan.

  1. I really want this pattern. I think it looks interesting , very interesting. But don’t know how to get it to a printable place.

  2. I know, I really should format these more nicely as PDFs for everyone’s sake. However, you can right-click (or hit ‘control’ and click) and choose to save it to your desktop. From there you can just double-click it and it should automatically open in a picture-viewing program. Most programs will allow you to preview something before printing it, and you can use this to resize or edit the picture before you print it. Hope that helps.

  3. thank you and thanks for the computer info!

    it worked!!

  4. Could you give me any information on the yarn that was used for this pattern, or recomment a sub yarn? Also the yardage for this suit.

  5. Unfortunately I checked on Ravelry and Vintage Yarn Charts (http://www.vintageknits.com/yarncharts.html), and neither had any information. However, as it’s 6 stitches to the inch, the following yarns might be suitable in terms of size and material:

    Rowan Felted Tweed
    Rowan Scottish Tweed DK
    Phildar Tweed

Any tweedy yarn in a fingering-DK weight should work, as long as you can get 6 stitches to the inch. And if you don’t want a tweedy look, you can use any wool-based yarn that gets gauge.
